Bad Memory Books

Nightfall is a science-fiction classic by masters Isaac Asimov and Robert Silverberg detailing the apocalyptic coming to darkness of a planet illuminated by multiple suns. I borrowed it from the Terryberry public library in Hamilton as a young adult. A great read, marred by a scarring memory:

SOME SOCIOPATH HAD INSERTED DEAD FLIES INTO EVERY FIFTY OR SO PAGES!

Somehow I finished the book regardless, but this methodical defiler has made me wary of library books ever since, and also wary of science-fiction fans. I'm sure he has gone on to barbecue cats and make dresses from the lard he's cut out of his own belly. Thank you for ruining my memory of a good book and scarring my childhood, you asshole.
